So another muppet acting dum in public with ’toy’ gun. On Westminster Bridge by Parliament of all places, where ewe had an actual terrorist attack a few years ago, feckin idiots. What the hell did they think was gonna happen. On the plus side his assets have been frozen and he’s been banned from whatever site it was he was. streaming on. Yet the idiot has been seen online saying he thinks they over reacted as it was just a joke. He’s lucky an ARV didn’t pull up and shoot him.

Lets just hope it wasn’t an airsoft gun and it doesn’t lead to further legislation of just puling of our defence.

The full footage is (currently) still on YouTube, and is linked via this article :

At least they had just enough sense to all stop and put hands up to the off camera firearms officer(s)
At that point they were no longer waving anything around, and earlier in the footage a passing police van had stopped to speak / ask what they were doing - no gun at that time, and they were asked about any drones and the van left (not without one of them saying ‘f the police’, for which he was toned down by another

The initial gun use was pointing to the camera (stupid enough), but then one of them went to wild waving and pointing at passing traffic. For a moment it looked like he was being stopped from that with the pistol taken off him, but instead that was for the next one to have a go

Idiots being idiots, and being lucky enough not to get run into by a driver in fear nor having trigger happy police like other countries

If they are supposed to be ‘professional streamers’ they could act professionally and liaise with the authorities for filming in public, though of course describing their “film” as a bunch of cocks waving a pistol in public in cental London opposite parliament may not have resulted in permission.

Ffs, what a twat.

As fox hunting is banned can we hunt streamers and social media effluencers instead? They get the attention from the live stream and we get to see them get what they deserve

What a good way to give government more arguments against RIF's. Why do these idiots feel this is appropriate in the current threat status.

They are covered by existing legislation, and were arrested under existing legislation

Threads like this also shows the responsible community condemning them

I’ve been in paintball for more than 20 years, and have heard the same argument about giving ammunition to “anti gun politicians”
Scotland has had a very strong anti gun political element and has not banned them.
Responsible communities and suitable ‘bodies’ have done the work for decades

In paintball we have the UKPSF, which covers the range of interests from player members to the various forms of industry, and is formally recognised by the Home Office

In Airsoft there are a range of groups with various interests. This is another reason to support them, and for their collaboration

UKARA are a retailers ‘body’, along with sites, as opposed to players - but their interest in keeping Airsoft going is key to their existence

I appreciate that but when things like this happen on their doorstep it'll definitely be discussed in some form. I personally don't think rifs will ever be banned as 1 there's too many in circulation to control and most aren't serial numbered, and also representing bodies for Airsoft will fight our side to keep Airsoft going, but do feel they may on day make it harder to obtain new rods.

Alot of respect for your british police handling the situation like they did. If someone waved a gun outside parliament over here they would most likely get shot.

Labour are very anti shooting and gun ownership of any sort, it was a Labour government that was going to ban airsoft in the 90’s. Don’t know if you remember that time, but we were told you can keep what you have but further sales weren’t allowed.

I remember the 90s well. Was just a kid though (born in 1990) so not knowledgeable on the politics of that decade. So that's some interesting information you've just mentioned.

I feel like the UK Airsoft community is a constantly twitching version of American 2A Crackpots sometimes ngl. Constant "they're coming for our guns" despite the only time Parliament has mentioned it since 2020 being a suggestion that the government use Airsoft groups for civil defense training.

Dad's Army eat your heart out, but it doesn't seem to me like there's this big conspiracy to take our toys tbh. Hell most people I meet genuinely have no clue what Airsoft *is*. It's a very insular community.

I get that there was a lot of furore around the VCRA but that was 2006. There are UKARA carrying Airsofters younger than that. 😂
