ICS Piston

I damaged my piston in my CS upper gearbox so I need to replace it.

Std gearbox any recommendations and any to avoid?...thanks//...

First, eliminate the cause of it being damaged. Then the ICS POM (the orange one), Cyma metal rack or SHS would do the job. Might as well correct angle of engagement while you're at it.

I'm the cause and it's quite old,I think it's just wear and tear.

Go for metal/ali over polymer?

Don't bother with aluminium pistons.

Gets the job done,doesn't break. If you do go for a piston with a full metal rack, don't forget to epoxy the rack in once you've ground the teeth for AOE clearance.
