How do I put a quote in a reply to a post?

I can't seem to work out how to quote someone.

I see a post, click quote but the text doesn't come up in the reply box.

Sorry for the noob question.

i had similar problems with this, it seemed to be something related to what browser i was using. At home i still have issues with 'edge' where i cant copy / paste links so generally use chrome, but its not alwyas 100% working!

At work i use Chrome and its fine............. at the moment

I had the same problem of the quote function not working with Internet Explorer, so I switch to Mozilla Firefox when on the forum. My computers use Windows 7.
