How can I buy this?

AFAIK, this isn't likely going to be a problem importing it, but you may find the retailer unwilling to ship it, as most US firearms retailers like hiding behind ITAR even for things explicitly not on ITAR as a reason to not ship things outside of the US, instead of doing the hassle of sending it.

Edit: Very clearly in their T&C's, they won't ship outside of the US, so you can dream basically.

From their T&C’s:

“International Orders:

HK Parts will NOT ship outside the United States.  No exceptions will be made.

We can ship to your preferred US based licensed export company or you can also use the services of the following licensed exporter:

Global Defense Trade Network – https://www.globaldefense.us/services/

GDTN looks to be a B2B exporter but you could always ask.

otherwise it might be worth looking at one of those “my US address” forwarders that you can sign up with if this isn’t an ITAR item. As GiantKiwi said importing it here shouldn’t actually be a problem as it’s not a pressure bearing part or anything like that.

Would the body pins from a real MP5 fit an AEG?

Also what's wrong with using the sling loop on the gun?

How can I buy this from the UK without getting arrested?

Make friends with an American online and get them to buy it on your behalf, repackage, and ship it to you.

Just make sure you're not ordering any pressure bearing components such as barrels, gas blocks, bolt carriers, etc. (Why would you anyway?)

Customs doesn't give a shit about furniture, get your pal to slap your UKARA on it just in case.

Exactly this. I bought from HK Parts before, had the stuff shipped to my uncle in Colorado who shipped them to me. While HKP won't ship internationally, they are very helpful.

You could probably get that made here quite easily too.

I've never used them but there are mail forwarding services who's whole business model is this scenario. You'd have to check T&C that they don't restict what you want to buy.

Eg.

Most of them say absolutely no gun parts, real, airsoft or otherwise. ☹️

I know even getting a gun light (like a Surefire) shipped by them can be difficult.

I tried getting an HK Parts bipod shipped by one and it was a no-go.

HK MP5 sling. Relatively cheap. Absolutely bombproof if you get a genuine one. Plus it has strong Op Nimrod vibes....

Evening everybody,  I've just had my first game with my new tm mp5 a5, amazing gun! Slings, I wanted a qd sling but rear mounting it is a problem.

This is the solution https://hkparts.net/all-parts/hkp-quick-detach-sling-attachment-sling-pin-large/ but no UK shipping.

Thank you in advance.
If you really are set on this, at great expense, it’s also available from Germany

€72 on the German site, add postage, VAT and handling fees

https://www.hornerarms.de/p/hkp-quick-detach-sling-attachment-sling-pin-large

I haven’t used the German language for half a century, so you’ll have to check out their shipping policy yourself

@Lozart wow 72 euros, so probably over £100 by the time it reaches these shores... ?

I suspect for considerably less money, you could get someone to machine a version. I would presume the standardised spec for a qd socket is available online, that just needs to be backed with a correct length/diameter post that is female threaded at the end.

You might have more luck by checking the Japanese sites/marketplaces like Yahoo Auctions. They tend to have a LOT of second-hand RS stuff for sale there, including a lot of HK parts. Waiting and looking for the specific item you are searching for can

unfortunately take a while, but just stick at it and you'll eventually find what you need.

Once you have found what your looking for, you can then use services such as "JapanRabbit" to import them from Japan. Just make sure you add the note "FOR USE WITH AIRSOFT" in the description!!! As long as you aren't importing restricted parts (i.e. load-bearing RS parts, etc), and just sticking to furniture/accessories, you shouldn't have any real problems.

It'd be an easy enough thing to make on a lathe. Only cutting the inner groove for the locking ball bearings would be tricky, but probably only need a tool ground to shape for it. (Or do that part on a mill.)
