So i have been looking for an AEG 14.5" 416 for so long that i must now ask is their even one Made?? i seriously want one so bad now

G&G made one, i think SRC did too. There's the hurricane kit aswell... Or maybe buy a different length and install a new barrel

A CM16 raider is basically the same as a 416, Just trade the front post/fore sight for a rail foresight and just add the HK style fire selector ink on the side. not really hard.

The rail, receiver's and pistol grip are different as is the stock.

They're similar in that they're both AR-style rifles with monolithic upper rails but that's about it

Oh yeah, VFC do one too- might be gbbr only though.

regarding pistol grip and stock, that statement is rendered mute by the fact that these are both customizable options.

as for the receiver the only difference is the markings that are stamped into it.

As for the barrel shroud, yes it is different, but it is similar, and follows the same style so for someone looking for a m416 style rifle the CM16 would prove to be a good alternative as it does simulate the desired look.

Although back on topic, i do know that Umarex has a licensed Gas blow back M416, as for AEGs you are looking at clones as i know of no officially licensed AEGs

The receiver's are different shapes, and the RIS is different- similar but different, I'm assuming he wants the proper one as he asked about the HK

yea your right MM looks like basing a build off that will be too exspensive anyway lol

lol the Entire receiver of the 416 is identical to any/all AR15 platform, because they are all made using the same raw forging templates. the only difference being is that HK forge theirs with better alloys.

The top of the upper receiver on the 416 is different to an AR-15, it has to be higher in order to incorporate the gas piston system. That whole piston setup takes up more space than the simple gas tube of the direct impingement system of your average AR-15. All this contributes to the fact that you cannot attach AR handguards to a 416 upper (without it looking really rather stupid), ignoring the fact that the 416 rail is mounted in a very different fashion to that of an AR.

A complete 416 upper/handguard/barrel setup will mesh and function with an AR lower, but the parts that make up the upper are definitely not identical.

Yeah the height of the rail is higher admittedly i forgot about that factor, but im more in regards to the aesthetics of the weapon and not the internals.

As he wants a m416 airsoft gun, so the realsteal m416 internals bear no ground for the discussion. in terms of aesthetics a 416 is similar to that of any other Ar15 platform, minus the stamped markings and fire selector ink markings, which can be easily replicated if you wish to achieve the look your self.

Yes but if he didn't care about the extra bits on the 416, he'd probably have asked about M4's- seeing as he specifically chose the 416, he probably wants the design of the upper rail and the magwell on the lower to be different.

MM your correct i have however now given up on this build seeing as i was only interested becuse i wanted to use a M203 on the bottom and still be able to mount a Bayonet
