*Help Please* MC51 SD Conversion

Looking to convert my TM MC51 to having the MP5 style SD front. Does anyone have any idea on whether TM MP5 AEG parts would be compatible to complete this, or if not what other parts could potentially fit?

I saw it done about 18 years ago, so yes it can be done, plus the guy I knew who did it wasn't very technically minded, so hopefully that means it's a simple swap ??

Yes (source, was the first gun I bought, 23 years ago).

There's a couple of ways of doing it, and there used to be a good guide here but it seems to be down at the moment.
