Hi guys I've had a rough year been in and and of hospital and awaiting two More operations on my spine.so I'm after a new gun that I can shoot in my garden I have a large garden and have several targets to shoot at.my budget is around £80 so I'm after something I can play around with while I'm off work and building my strength back up.

I would personally like a sniper rifle of a assault rifle for around £80 so can anyone recommend anything with good power and good accuracy many thanks Matt.

With that budget you can either get a mid-range airsoft pistol, or just a toy which I assume you're probably after. Look on justbbguns.com, theres a little 2 tone gun going for about £60, apparently shooting around 280fps. Can't really vouch for any quality in that budget, unless ofcourse you opt for a proper airsoft pistol.

Can you define proper airsoft pistol for me please my friend lol sounds intriging

A pistol skirmishable/skirmish worthy as a secondary weapon. Go to airsoftworld.net and look at the pistols section, theres a few nice gas pistols. There is also an electric pistol made by cyma going for about your budget. These would last alot longer and are of greater quality than the toys sold by justbbguns.

I forgot to mention u have never attended a skirmish as I am new to airsoft and as mention I've not had a great year I have a famas but I want something else to get the feel of to mess around with in the garden for about the £80 mark

It's worth noting that a fair few sites don't allow CO2 powered weapons though, so if you did want to use it for a skirmish, you'd have to check with the site you're heading to first.

Being gas it's not quite as casual as an electric gun either, having to insert a CO2 capsule, or gas the mag up from a bottle of gas, takes a degree of "setting up" to use. Electric guns like the pistol, or spring powered guns, like the shotgun are simpler and easier to use. Though not as fun.

I'd go with the electric pistol mentioned above, or a shotgun if you're just after something for garden use. Doesn't cost money to run because you don't need to buy gas, reliable and good enough to skirmish should you ever decide to head out to a site. Plus, there's no need to worry about sites not letting you use it, because neither are CO2 powered.

That's a good point, Ed. It's true, some sites are determined to encourage us to be pussies. However it's also worth noting that electric pistols are underpowered compared to gas and, in a skirmish setting, really only any use as a last ditch sidearm for personal protection or very close quarters battle. I can't comment on how easy it is to set up or maintain refillable gas mags, because I've never had one, but I can promise you, OP, that a CO2 pistol is so simple to load that you don't actually need to read the instructions; you just put the capsule in the space for it and tighten up the wing-nut retaining bolt until it's finger tight. That is it.
