and wanted to know if this battery and charger would fit it and make my weapon work fine

The gun's fine, both the battery and charger aren't.

As for the charger, a BOL smart mini battery charger will do. I've got one and it's pretty good.

Ill have to disagree with the above, I run the above charger and battry that you linked. Much better rate of fire and a crisper trigger response than any 8.4v Ive owned. Although i would recommend buying two batterys as its only 800mah so you dont wanna run the cells down by over using it.

so it's either that battery you linked or a 9.6v battery; they give similar performences but I find an NiMH battery more reiable
