Best 'military' TV series ever? Great quotes, action and events firmly based on eyewitness accounts (and very close to how it was written in the book), lots of USMC gear porn and realistic action scenes.

It's good.....but is it "Band of Brothers" good?

Depends what you want from a TV show I guess. Interesting to note that there are 3 or 4 actual marines acting in Gen Kill. Rudy Reyes for one. If you watch the DVD boxset there's a whole load of interviews with the actors/soldiers in the show.

Strike back though is quality, well the later series before the end

struggle to watch much TV with kids these days, usually its peppa pig or power rangers  :angry:

Generation Kill was brilliant, in fact I'm going to start watching again after seeing this thread.

One series i particularly enjoyed, was The Unit. Perhaps more far fetched than your BoB and GK, but very watchable
