Morning all

First "proper" post here so hello!

I've recently invested in a syonix aurora (wow!) and the above dbal. The IR Illuminator is rather bright and even on low power, its very focused. Is anyone away of a way to make the beam spread better than just removing the cap which causes a splash?

Tia

The low power setting on it just flickers it on and off fast to allow the battery to last longer it does nothing to actually change the power output of the laser module. You could try tracking down beam diffusers or patterns meant for a real dbal and see if they do anything.

Ah that's helpful mate thank you. I'll see what I can find online then!
