Is the jg m4 a good starter gun and will it last long?

They are quite good guns. It will last as long as you look after it

i was about to post the same topic as im about to buy a jg m4a1 s-system. i kept reading a few mixed reviews about

Only bad thing about JG is, well they have almost no new guns out now, you will be lucky to find one brand new really, especially the old ones!

When buying a JG gun my advice is this;

When you buy it, have a reduced power spring fitted. They usually come out the box at 350, so take it down to about 330. That will vastly increase the life of the gearbox without needing fancy parts.

(The stock parts are designed to work well with 350fps, lowering that power will do nothing but good for them)

But otherwise, yeah, brilliant, I swear by them.
