Hi,

Looking to see what upgrades people would recommend for the above gun?

I’ve seen a video from Jaeger Precision about the maple leaf hop chamber, but not seen the follow n he mentions to see how it performs.

Im assuming the Flamingo Pink hop rubber is the go to still these days? Maple Leaf Crazy Jet Inner Barrel (can’t see if the concept of these really makes a difference or not?)

Thanks

From my experience the only reason to changeout the Hop Unit is for ease of adjustment as the Maple Leaf has a wheel on the bottom rather than having to take the barrel out.

Only real "upgrade" (if already using .4g BB) I feel is the steel trigger locater. Even when it comes to the Co2 nozzle it seems to be more fragile,  gone through over 50 Co3 bulbs on the standard nozzle where as the Co2 nozzle loading arm broke off after about 5 mags.

As above, fitted a maple leaf jet inner barrel, made little difference, apart from the convenience of the adjustment wheel location.

And again as above, the Co2 nozzles aren’t great, the original GHK ones are far stronger. I found the Co2 mags from Samoon poor as well, the valves for me were rubbish. I don’t know if the Umarex Co2 mags are better, and who makes them, I know they have different base plates to the Samoon ones.

I'm convinced that maple leaf crazy jet inner barrel is marketing bullshit and a way cheaper gbb barrel does the same job.

Maple Leaf hop-up chambers are really good though.

I've completely gone off crazy jet barrels and I tend to go with Stalker ones now. They're expensive, but I've just had fantastic experiences with them so far. I was chatting with a friend who had a relative who worked in engineering and he said that the engineering behind the crazy jet barrels is a thing, but it requires incredible precision when creating them that let's be honest... Maple Leaf probably doesn't have. Especially as I've heard stories of that end part being glued on, which is definitely not the precision needed!

I've also heard that they're brass barrels with a silvery coating, so not even stainless steel.

If I was doing the build, I'd get the Maple Leaf hop chamber and i-key, because they're pretty decent and I've had good results with one in my 1911s, a Stalker barrel and a 50d Flamingo hop rubber.
