Right people iwh gen2/3 nvgs

What ir flashlight do u use 850. 940??

Is it true that gen 2/3 can not see  light over 940nm?

Cheers in advance

G2/3 NVG's can see 850 and 940. 940 is about 40% dimmer than 850 when viewed by NVG's. The output power is the same but just looks dimmer. Only advantage of 940 is if you are trying to be sneaky over large areas as someone spotting will have more difficultly seeing 940 after 300 meters. For airsoft a 850 is cheaper and probably the best option.

850nm is the standard wavelength for IR devices.

Photonis ITTs (all gen 2) have a different tube tech that allows them to see to around 1100nm which allows them to carry out niche roles that standard gen 2 or gen 3 can't do.
