G&G L85A2 and mosfets

Hi i recently got hold of a pre etu g&g l85a2 and im gonna install a gate picossr mosfet to it as 7.4v it runs really sluggish and I just want to be able to running 11.1v amd this would be the first time iv installed a mosfet so if i mess it up its £12 lost. However im unsure about the electric breaking wire should I remove it I know a few people do but all them have more fancy mosfets from in them from what iv seen. Any help is appreciated thank you in advance
