We had quite a lot of stuff like that at the paintball/airsoft field I worked at. Was great because we gave it out to use to anyone who wanted it and whenever it broke it didn't matter.
Also quite a lot of stuff left by stag party's (or is it bachelor party's in England?)
Also great when you can't find a flag for CTF, one time I used a dolls head, everybody loved it
Correct with ‘stag party’ here.
Hen parties for the ladies
Bachelor / Bachelorette parties are an Americanism .... which does sneak into the language.
I have many weird and wonderful random items in my collection over time, and a wider collection of oddities which have been used for props.
One fun one was a simple Bin Laden mask and dish dash on a dummy which I made sure that I was seen ‘rushing’ out to hide at the last moment before we started the next mission ..... find Bin Laden.
Once players thought they were looking for a dummy to pick up I hid away and changed clothes from the dummy.
In this mission all the factions had to align together, find my hideaway, smash it down and capture me. (They were to be unsuccessful due to my final moment suicide, for me to later appear with a mask change as zombie Bin Laden)
With two whole factions firing down a corridor at my defences while I screamed abuse at them, fired and ducked etc gameplay was stopped to check if I was still OK.
Everyone was enjoying shooting down my walls and I was enjoying the battering..... Until I decided it was time to blow the place up.
For a children in the corn game I led the Church of the Righteous and Pure, so built a CRaP staff with a bakers peel for the staff, strapped on a ‘cross’ from a dressing table mirror, and crucified a corn dolly on it.
At the pregame party my opposition were trying to steal my staff, but it was firm in one hand with my wine bottle in the other.
They failed to notice that during the game I would start off my side waving it around then left it unattended at our home base - so they could have just flanked and picked it up.
For the final mission I was in the middle of the corn waving the staff up above the corn then using it to lean out of each corner and flick flag stations to my side.
In the last year I’ve been buying up old Barbie dolls etc in auctions, with the ultimate aim of a doll graveyard at some future event — the only problem is going to be picking the right venue and storyline for it to make sense.
Too many things have been going on in recent years to get one of our Halloween horror games back up and running
