Exporting Magnified Optics

Hi, I moved out of the country some months ago and had to leave a few Vortex optics in storage (Crossfire, micro magnifier, scope) but will soon be taking them back in checked luggage. Certain magnified optics or those under the "military list" seem to need a permit to export, but it's unclear when using the Gov lookup tool whether the above fall under this, and HMRC have yet to reply. I would appreciate if anyone could share advice or experience regarding this. Thanks in advance.

If they are covered, they wouldn't fall within HMRC's remit; they would fall under the Export Control Joint Unit's purview. However, given that they are freely for sale in the UK, I doubt that there is anything to worry about.
