If a collector in the US fancies one they'll deffo pay £12K, it's just as hard to find a genuine SA80 in the states so this is the best they'll get.
They seem to have a collectors series, I really should have a nosey to see what else is classed as collection piece.

100%. A lot of the richest gun collectors have no online presence but there's so many more of them over there than 99.999% of people here know and they have MONEY to spend on guns. The more unobtainable the better usually.


Anyway, $12k is slightly different to £, but still expensive ofc. Not at all surprising given the tiny production quantity and the difficulty of this getting made in a country where all the guns use totally different manufacturing.

I've been chatting to the bloke a behind this a bit over on IG the past few months; following the whole thing with great interest. He's scheduled to be at SHOT and if all goes to plan I'll find him there and get to handle one of the guns, do a comparison to the real thing. They certainly look extremely close to the originals from what I've seen.
