So… I go by the entrance everyday and notice that the board is gone, now its advertiseng some fence thing… And I’ve been trying to book a game for the past couple weeks and theres none available… Does anyone know if they are closed or its just a “seasonal” stuff?

On their FB page, they state they are closed for renovations and aim to re-open within the first half of December.

Ah, that's good news. Whilst it's not my go-to site, it is relatively local, ands it's always nice to have options, as well as to create a competitive market to keep the other local sites on their toes!

Thanks for the reply. I litteraly live 5 mins away from them and wanted to try them out.

Just heard that it's closed permanently. Landlord didn't want to extend the lease and all social media relating to Dogtag has disappeared.

Is this the Dogtag near Crawley? You can still book so be careful not to make that mistake and lose your pennies.

I just saw this - really surprised as that place is a 120-200 a day site, running eight days a month.

EDIT: Just read on Facebook the owner is saying he's 'poorly' and taking some time off, so they'll be back soon. But they're insolvent. Something doesn't add up eh.

That's a shame hadn't noticed any new videos from Ghost Rider Airsoft for a while though, so kind of adds up, as that's his regular site. Although much closer to me than Driver Wood, I prefer Driver Wood, as flatter terrain (nearly 50 fat bloke), used to shoot HFT at Dogtag's site around 2012-14, while with Horsham Rifle and Pistol Club.

Ah no! I loved the trenches at dog tag

Hi ASP383 I had a few weeks of from airsofting due to an injury. And yes dogtag is closed still at the moment. I been texting jelly the head marshal at dogtag. The latest message I got back from him. Saying it temporarily closed. But what I’m hearing from other people and other airsoft sites. It’s not looking good. And the site has been totally cleaned out. So I don’t no it’s totally true a as a I hope to hear more news soon. So the last few weeks I been playing at Worthing Airsoft. And at UCAP bunker. And I’m still filming and still going up on my YouTube channel.  @ghostriderairsofter

Yeah it's been quiet for ages now, a couple of us went up on the sunday after the last weekend it was open and helped out cleaning up the tree wraps, but not heard anything since.
Been playing at southdowns and driverwood, but just not the same energy.
Hopefully something comes about soon but unfortunately, there's no longer a social media presence and no updates on the website.

I heard the guy at Driver Wood tried to get rights to run the site after Dogtag closed, but it's a landowner thing - the ultimate landowner wanted to use their land for other purposes.

Yeah that was the vibe we were getting, and heard similar things from ex staff down at driver

So, the site owner who called me a liar and banned me from the site for stating that it is permanently closed is a liar who banned me from a non-existent site. ?

There’s a Bridle Path running next to the site which is now part of my cycling route so I can keep an eye on the place. As of last weekend nothings changed up there, looks exactly the same. Only thing I’ve noticed a quite a number of the trees have been marked up for what looks like felling.

I’m really hoping it starts up again….
