does anyone know how to remove this type of m4 hand guard?

i can’t figure out how to remove the handgaurd to reattach the wires which connect my battery in a peq box, you obviously can’t twist it and ive pulled out the only pin there is, do i just hit it really hard? thanks for any replies ive been stuck on this for weeks, i’m new ?

once that pin is completle out the front should just pull forward. It might be a bit stuck by the paint , worth warming the join a bit if you've got a hot air gun.

Push the grip and body together as you pull on the pin.  It may be caught on a lip.
