They have.

Back during Summer, the Beeb reported a few occasions of Rebels (including one hi-ranker) who have either shot themselves or blown themselves up.

I was quite surprised during one Beeb report in August which showed some particularly well equipped rebels - 4 of them in body armour, helmet and using G36Es - in a street fight.
