Well after busting may balls trying to get ironsight airsoft up and running and making it a site people want to come back to time and time again...disaster has struck.

After a lighting strike we have had a major fire and lost all the businesses equipment.

Our staff room, reception, kit store, half the safe zone, the range and half our main building game zone has been totally lost!

GUTTED!

I think he means the site he has set up has been struck by lightning and has suffered a large fire as a result, destroyed a lot etc

That's a real shame Sam, do you have insurance?

The site is a lasertag, paintball and airsoft site. I run the airsoft side of things and well as a general manager.

We are fully insured so all the equipment will get replaced in due course. Just the loss of the building that is the main kick in the arse.

Thankfully site was empty and no one got hurt.

Damn sounds quite bad, hope all goes well. After all I've heard pretty great reviews about people who've traveled down to you

weird, only loaded this much for me:
"Well after busting may balls trying"

I thought Sam had been on the sauce and had hit send before finishing!

Sorry to hear about the damage caused, fingers crossed the insurance will come through swiftly and you'll be back up and running soon!

Bad luck, Sam- hopefully you can take this opportunity to make any improvements on the site if they're needed :)

That's horrible news. I was planning on visiting it soon. You'll have to let us all know when your back up and running!

We are running. Fire investigators had the OK to run.

Fire damage has been sectioned off and the internal game area has been rearranged so games can still run.

Just means basic games as all our props have gone. We had 38 players yesterday and ran with no site related issues.

Shame Andover is so far for the majority of forum users otherwise you could organise a weekender of site rebuilding Saturday, chill out night then play all day Sunday and hopefully have big numbers to fund extra repairs and builds

That sounds like it'd be great fun- I think there are plenty of us down south who could do it

Sorry to hear the news, good luck on rebuilding the business, perhaps you can announce your reopening on here? Maybe drum up some more customers?

Alpha55's wooden admin building in the safe zone got torched last year, meaning no covered area and loss of a lot of equipment. Games were quickly up and running again using a gazebo instead. Players got involved in helping with the clearup and there are now 2 large portakabins, as well as new barricades etc in the woods. People seem to pull together when the brown stuff hits the fan. Keep your chin up Sam, fantastic that you were able to get things running so quickly again, even if it takes time for normality to return.

Definitely talk to Paul about a build day or something Sam, it's been suggested a few times but never had a proper reply. Would probably be a big help.

Yeah that's a dam good idea.

At the mo until insurance adjusters have been onsite we can't do any clearin up!

GAmes are still running every Sunday until end of October. Main disruption is to the laser tag side of the business as we lost 50k worth of guns and kit.

Most of the damage is to admin areas and not game areas.

Here are a few pics!

This was the staff room/gun room. 36 lasertag guns, 40 paintball markers and 12 M4 rentals plus all props were in there!

Clothing store and to the left the 12ft long air tanks from the airsystem plus the back up dive tanks! All of which were full!!

And this is the damage to the safe zone. Caused by heat and not flames.
