I have a cyma ak hi cap mag ( bright orange bakelite look a like) which stopped feeding mid skirmish. It is wound up but the bb's just will not push up to the top. The main reservoir is empty and there are bb's in the tube lower down but they are stuck.

I cant find anything that will release the spring tension.

Any advice/ assistance, fellas?

Give it a firm knock on a hard surface (such as a kitchen worktop, maybe wrap a tea towel round it to prevent marking the mag/worktop lol). This should then push the bbs up if they are still under tension.

Sounds like a misformed bb or dirt.

As Straffham says, it is probably just a bit of crap or possibly some distortion on a BB jamming things up, and giving the mag a smart tap on a hard surface will probably free things up. You don't have to hit it too hard, just do it a bit like you would do with a real magazine when you smack it on your helmet, to make sure it won't jam, before popping it in the weapon.

If that does not work, try getting a drinking straw down through the feed hole to dislodge the jam, just see if you can use it to push the top BB back a little then release and see if that sorts it out.

I had a similar issue with my ICS AK hicap, threw it against a tree and bob's your uncle.

As ever, informative AND humorous, all in the same thread.

Thanks, chaps.

UPDATE

Mag freed and drinking straw now in toolkit in gunbag!

thanks once again.
