Personal preference, looks stupid in multi colours to me
Unfortunately personal preference doesn't justify trying to get around the law
pretend to play soldiers...
Ooh, salty😏
FYI there are many members here that are ex, or serving armed forces, myself included, & most consider airsoft to be anything from a bit of a giggle to maintain fitness etc, to an excellent training tool that isn't comparable to anything their day jobs can offer on any regular basis, the number of police firearms officers that airsoft is testimony to that.
Maybe your negative opinion of actually playing wasn't down to the game itself, perhaps you attended a shite badly run site, something we've all experienced at one time or other, & we also vow never again, but most of us have been lucky enough to play at great well run sites, which gives us a better perspective.
Yep, I get it, you want a rif, no one wants something resembling a nerf gun, & yes there are other alleged defences such as just-cos, accepted by a minority of greedy retailers who just want to see the colour of your money & don't give a fuck about what happens after you leave their shop.
But in your position, I wouldn't be looking for the path of least resistance, the moodiest defence to get a quick result, I'd want a fully kosher ukara defence that exceeds the lawful requirements of purchasing a rif, that way if ever it came to light, a mate waving it around overtly or being found in an accommodation search, you're 100% legit & unlikely to face any repercussions.
Reconsider playing, there are some very well rated sites all over the UK, many of which are reviewd here, & then even if its only for the 3 games, then you've got ukara for a year, allowing you the legal freedom to buy what you like for you, or even your mates.

PS im locking the thread now, these kinda threads never turn out well, & the general consensus, based upon previous threads of this nature, is that most members don't want the moody defences, such as just-cos, promoted or encouraged, most shooting hobbies are only ever a fuck up away from being potentially banned, are drastically altered, all because someone wants a rif for anything but an airsoft game at a legitimate site, & we would all suffer the consequences.
