Charging handle spring help!

I was taking my gun apart to better understand and feel comfortable when going to do upgrades when putting it back together when I use the charging handle it doesn’t try pull back to original position and just feels loose but I can ouch it back in no problem any help please

pull the upper reciever off and look up in it, you should see the spring up in the top that pulls the charging handle closed, looks like it's just popped off.

I think I over stretched it I’ve manged to cut it and might tight again so it springs back cheers
