was just looking at zero one webby .... more specifically the CAW M134 Minigun ... and the options on the web page ...

and i was wondering .......

Which bits are they gunna 2 tone   :o :P :D

in all honesty has there ever been a 2 tone minigun???

id assume noones been silly enough to try and bother. if you paying that money just get ukara. when its so simple to get and if your serious enough about it then theres no reason not to. be funny to see a bright orange one. flip if someone did it on the opposing team id ignore the objectives and shoot them for being a prat... grumble...grumble...

If I won the lottery, I'd buy two of them and spend thousands researching and creating an exo-suit just so I could own everyone.

... after you turned 18.

but everyone could just walk around you... whilst cool for the first hour, playing that would quickly make people think prat when you come to play. if i won id just have a range/armoury of good guns, and my own airsoft site... buggys etc, ie the best site!

There is no way I could afford one, and I have a UKARA, I was just wondering why they even give it as a option lol

I was only joking :P I know it would be a stupid idea doing that. I would probably run the biggest airsoft site ever if I won. And I'd also get a few of these to drive around.

I bet some person out there has bought it in two-tone

I hope somebody has UKARA for that tank!
Somehow I fail to see how an airsoft defence is needed for a tank :)

As far as I'm concerned, there are no laws to owning a tank either. So I'm going to buy one when I get my drivers license xD

Or, I could own an APC and stick a mounted machine gun on the top!!!! (Wow, I'm starting to think of this seriously)

Actually armoured vehicles aren't as expensive as you might think. The problem is that track laying vehicles trash roads unless they have those rubber pads on them and they're also really fuel hungry. Add to that they are really really heavy, so getting them from A to B isn't such an easy proposition, even if it was road legal.

Still, I really want to see a two-tone Bren Carrier!

It was a joke!!
It was a sarcastic response... Only works when you're actually talking then

I used to go to the War & Peace show every year and they used to sell tanks, APC's and trucks there. You could literally buy them for about £10k!!!! I think the issue with them is the maintenance and transport, since most roads won't allow them you'll need like a transport truck or something

Yeah, years ago I used to know a bloke who had something called an Antar - 6 wheel drive truck with a lowloader for tank transport. It had a 20L petrol engine though so you needed to be a Saudi prince to drive it anywhere. He did swap that out for a 12L diesel, but the gearbox wouldn't fit so he had to get another and also cut the prop shaft down - all kinds of hilarity ensued when it broke... :)

nah wouldnt get a working tank for airsoft, dead ones for cover sure, maby a couple of destroyed choppers too. armoured veichles are too overkill for airsoft. probably want something that protects the driver whilst leaving the transported/gunners able to shoot and be shot......

Well, armoured vehicles have been used at many sites, so surely you would be able to make it balanced. Perhaps a fake anti tank charge could be made up that has to be thrown on the tank to disable it for example...

if i won 100m i would have a huge airsoft site with urban and woods with quads, bikes and a couple of m1 abrahams just because i can :P

im aware they do but id assume you have to do something to balance them, and as far as i can tell its the most obvious way to do it. combined with death rags, shot people in the vehicle lie down for it to bring them back to re-spawn .. tracks through out the site for the vehicles to travel, defencable positions like machine gun nests to cover the roads etc( even smoke machines hidden across the site, a speaker system for end of game/klaxon's. actually just picture the forest from starwars episode 6...

what way do vehicles actually work on those air-soft sites that use them?

Depends, some tanks drive around like a moving fortress for transporting people. Some tanks have mounted guns on top, and I think I've seen tanks fire stuff out of the main turret, like canister shells

Yeah, heavy weapons is an area of airsoft that seriously needs innovation. I've seen loads of attempts but nothing so far that makes me think, "Yes! That is perfect!"

Tube Launched

Gas Powered

Decent Range

Shape & Materials safe to hit people

Satisfying Bang

I have hopes for those ICS 40mm pyro-thingies, except I feel sickeningly sure that they'll be banned in the UK. What I'm thinking of though is entirely gas powered and like a nerf football with a big gas grenade inside. A basic tube firing system that can be fitted into any demilled RS weapon or replica. Maybe replaceable foam covers for different shaped projectiles so one would be like an RPG7.

You could fire it out of a tank's main armament or antitank guns. LAW tubes, Milan launchers, mortars, Panzerfaust maybe...
