Buying a radio.

Me and 3 friends have been going to events for a few months and we'd like to go the next step up the milsim ladder (Really the first step). We're looking to get radio's to work together as a team more but none of us have any idea about it. We have the headset covered, but we have no idea about what radio unit to use. Could anybody suggest ideas, links would also be appreciated. Thank you.
