No they are far too powerful and will probably blow up and cause a fire.

You were lucky then they are terrible things and should be banned. Stick to an 8.4v nimh in a Krytac, best to be safe.

7.4 LiPo will be fine in any skirmishable airsoft AEG pretty much.
For simple things like this you really should use the forum search facility, maybe type "Krytac" and "Battery" as this has been discussed a lot recently.
