During lockdown 1 I think most of us went a bit nuts and made a bunch of impulse purchases, right? One of mine was the Cybergun licensed 1911 from Armorer Works with he stainless finish.
I have the Parkerized Cybergun 1911 OEM by KWC and it's awesome. I thought this would be similar. Sadly not. Where the KWC is rock solid and shoots fantastically, this one feels pretty flimsy and, as you can see and hear from the video, sounds like a bag of dicks.
I think a lot of the problem comes from the hop unit, which really rattles around. Unlike most of my other GBB pistols, the recoil rod and spring just rests against the hop unit rather than fixes onto it, which doesn't help the stability.
Now I've never done anything more complicated than tightening a buffer tube or flash hider when it comes to working on my guns, but as I like the look of the stainless 1911 I'd like to try and work on it to improve it.
I've seen some Maple Leaf drop-in hop units that seem ok, but wondered if any of you who have far greater knowledge of these things can advise a best course of action?
Thanks
