Hi all

Just wanted to know if this gun any good, I know there's others out there ie ICC, G&G etc. have heard that it's a clone of the G&G one?? Pros and cons on this be great

Yeah clone of G&g's one, not too bad but get he blowback system disable else it's very likely to break.

Not actually an L85A2

It's an L85A1 (unless they did something about that)

The externals are made of soviet loo roll

The internals are made of warm butter

Just about sums up my experience of them.

srry to interupt, but i have army l85a1 and it is already running for around 4 to 5 years and no problems. Including working 'blowback'

My experience with them is more similar to Finius. Yes, some worked, but they are the exception, rather than the rule.

The best L85's tend to be the ICS, but even then they're a nightmare. At the moment L85's of any brand make up 60% of our workshop jobs 'to do'. they aren't exactly the most common rifles either.

Reasons to buy an L85:

1. They're bullpup, so have a long barrel in relation to their length

2. They're what our national forces use.

1. Buy an FN2000, AUG, TAR21 or P90, they are far better designed internally and are simple to work on.

2. Buy parts to assemble a C8 Diemaco, as used by our forces.

some people just like the looks for it. 2jears ago i haven't see anybody els with it (in Belgium. Airsoft wasn't legal in holland in those days.) i like to have something special,what almost nobody els have over here. Thats why i also have the l86 and l85afv

Bad experiences with the Army L85 here as well. Not very reliable at all

Sorry, should have specified. The TAR is not easy to get to the gearbox, but everything is kept there rather than some electronics near the trigger, some at the gearbox. once you've got to the 'box, everything is relatively simple. It was meant as more a suggestion for another bullpup design

How anyone can ever say the ICS L85 is hard to work on I will never know.

It's the simplest design there could ever possibly be. I think having the trigger, gearbox and electronics all separate is the greatest airsoft innovation since the AEG lol.

I have just bought an ICS L85 A2 and upgraded the externals to afghan spec, I have yet to start on the internals as I have already used up a significant chunk of my student loan and would like some left for pyros and walk on fees etc. To actually complete the externals I did have to take it apart and put the spring on to the mid setting to match the site rules on fps and it is not difficult at all to work on, everything is easy to get to and take out, it's my first weapon and I didn't actually break it. To top it all off I somehow managed to squeeze a 7.4v 2600 mah battery into the Madbull dd rail which is a feat and a half and it feels and looks a lot like the real steel from my experience with it, so I would recommend it especially as it has the best out of the box internals for the main L85's in my opinion.

the only problem i had/have with the ICS L86 (simular disign to L85 with internals) is that the connector-ends have been boke bij opening/closing body
