I’ve recently bought the hellbreaker m4 but within the little manual you get it doesn’t specify what volt and mAH lipo battery’s  you can use I was hoping someone could shed some light on this for me

I'd go with a 7.4V stick to go down the stock tube, probably around 1400mAh. Buy two and swap them over at lunch time if you want to be on the safe side.

Get a decent balance charger while you're at it.

 
as above i'd say 7.4v would be the safer bet here.

in terms of mah as long as the battery physically fits in the gun there's no downside to having as much as possible.
