Are the "want to buy GUN for £" threads generally by people ineligible to purchase from shops?

I notice these threads on a lot of airsoft forums, and they make little sense otherwise, most forums bother to include "over 18s only" in their rules.

A post like this just screams "rip me off". I and I feel a little sad when I see this.

Most of the time yes. Ive replied to a few over the years and when asking for a defence to purchase they either dissapear or sling a load of abuse at you.

This is not the same thing, this is people who "want GUN", rather than "want GUN:[make/model/condition]".
