Anyone else been scammed by Bespoke Airsoft?

Hi

Just wondering if anyone else has been scammed by the above company and if so how did you get your money back?

I made an order with them and didn't get scammed as such, the gun I ordered was plastic and advertised as metal, I returned it and got a refund

But to be fair the issue with the gun being plastic wasn't their fault, as the description was pulled from Iwholesales, anyone who stocked that gun also used their description, bespoke changed their description whereas other companies still haven't

So we brought a gun on the 28th of December,  it arrived quickly but was broken,  the gas was leaking,  so we tried contacting them,  took them 2 weeks to answer the phone, they said send it back they would repair, we did that on the 15th of January, then nothing,  tried calling,  tried emailing,  so around the beginning of Febuary we finally made contact by phone only to be told it was repaired and they had posted it back,  they gave us a false parcel force number which was showing as unsent when trying to trace,  took a week to get someone on the phone again, they said there must have been a mix up and she would send it while I was on the phone, I got yet another parcelforce number,  I called parcelforce 2 days later when the gun had but shown up yet again only to be told no parcel had been posted by the company,  I have now been calling every other day,  they are either but answering or saying they can't give refund until the find out what happened with parcelforce , but when I speak to parcelforce with the tracking numbers bespoke gave me,  they said nothing has ever been posted,  so now I have no gun,  no money back, and no idea what to do next

Your doing fine, thanks for sharing your experience with us.

Don't waste any more time trying to speak to bespoke, I'm assuming you paid via debit or credit card, get on to the banks fraud department, explain the situation,  including the non existent parcel force numbers & ask for a charge back. 

Same if you used PayPal, initiate a dispute & let it run until you've been refunded.

PS don't mention faulty GUN, call it faulty or damaged goods etc, don't want to spook whoever on the other end of the phone.

Well, I think I'm safe in saying this, but I'd say the issue was 100% their fault as Bespoke Airsoft and iWholesales are both in the same building and run by the same people. Here's some evidence for you...

... and you can use Google Street View to see the building they're both in with all of their signage.

There will be very specific reasons why James / Jaeger Precision split with them, I think there was bad blood / something in the relationship went wrong. Personally I'd go nowhere near Bespoke Airsoft since he left them.

What I meant was that anyone that used Iwholesales also just copied and pasted their blurb onto their own website when advertising their goods

Hello. I'm 52, dress up as a space soldier, and play hide-and-seek with toy guns.

What @Tackle said, just initiate a Section 75 or a debit card chargeback.

Don't get into deep details. I wouldn't even mention the return, just "I bought goods, I have neither the goods nor the money, seller is not contactable." Let them tell their side.

You might be surprised how quickly you get contacted by Bespoke to resolve it, but I'd stress, do not drop the case until you have working goods, or a full refund, no matter what you're promised.

No worries about being neurospicy. A few of us are on that spectrum.

Did you receive that false reference number via email or by post? If you have that paper trail, you absolutely should put that in your claim, especially when you allege they've given a false number twice - that can easily be perceived by the fraud team as a stalling tactic.

While my own experiences with Bespoke Airsoft have been positive (I only buy in person or do click & collect), I've seen a lot more complaints in the past 18 months. I remember one fellow in store who'd spent a small fortune on his gun and rightfully complained about a failed repair on it when he returned to pick it up and tested it on the range.

 
Thanks for the details. As others have posted contact your bank or whoever you paid with and get them to issue a charge back and dont let it go till you have your money back.

Don't worry about it we're a right bunch of misfits here. Strangely airsoft seems to attract those with a tism

There’s a thread on one of the forums on here regarding Bespoke Airsoft and my long battle with them. 

I Avoid them like the plague now. I ended up doing a charge back through my bank. I only now pay via PayPal. Lessons learned!

Going to throw in my personal experience: i've never had an issue ordering from them (them being BespokeAirsoft or iWholeSales). I've bought a Secutor 1911 and WELL WE10-1 MCX Rattler AEG from them. I've never had to get in contact with their customer service so I can't comment on it. The packages I received always came well packed with no signs of damage. Packages were sent with Parcelforce and I had no issues with tracking.
