Airsoft Helmets

Friend was gonna throw away 3 old Swedish army helmets.. so I got them laying around now... HEAVY! Guess you hear if you get hit in the head if you'd wear it haha!

kinda want to get an airsoft helmet, mostly so I can mount my pov cam, but also because I am tall, clumsy and hitting your head on concrete can suck. Thinking of respraying an old inlines helmet that I got laying around, haha!

They DO look rather like some of the newer tactical helmets!

(neither of the pics are of my actual item, cant take pictures of them atm!)

purple tactical inline helmeters? I'm all for that!

I'm sure you can find a purple one, the one I have is metalic blue :P

Awesome! we used to have an old fashioned crew guard in the Recce in Germany, painted pink, with appropriate markings on for the biggest D*ck of the Day on Gunnery camp!

Oh how we laughed! Unless you were wearing it!

I think Steel helmets for everyone in airsoft could only improve the game!! Just imagine the satisfying ping as you double tap someone in the head?!

No need to call that one mate!!

This thread interests me.

I want a helmet because I usually just wear a baseball cap (backwards mostly to protect my neck) but keep getting hit in the D shaped hole where the adjuster is (I swear people aim for it!). Thing is I have a MASSIVE head and I sweat like a paedophile in Mothercare so....what's the airiest helmet that's still worth wearing?

Having worn Mk 4s (yes, I'm that old!), Mk6s and crew guards, the Emmerson one I bought is as comfy as a cycle helmet, has air holes to allow some circulation and brings you closer to your diety, because every time a BB pings off your head you'll be thanking him like a MoFo!!

I got the FAST PJ advanced on Evike for $56, I'm a size 60cm and it is snug on me, snug but comfortable.

I guess too amny holes/too much circulation and you'll just get shot in the head all the time?!

I usually just wear eye & lower face protection.. sometimes a piece of material, partly for camo and partly because I once got shot straight in the ear hole at a very short distance with a gun I suspect was hot... not something I would recommend.

cavninja: yea... you can wear a steel helmet, glhf XD j/k :)

I feel your pain, I do the exact same thing and come out with red marks from the D shaped hole.

Problem is, I have a massive head, I would rather try on a helmet that would fit snug, if not I just want one that somebody can recommend who has a big head too.

I'd go to the doctors and get that checked mate!

Also, where are the skate helmets you linked from? They look very much like the old pro-tec delta bump helmets!

okay, think I've missed something haha!

as for the helmets, just some random image search, they are just ordinary bmx/inlines/skateboard helmets

A note on that helmet barry, do NOT use the visor in it as eye protection, they're not rated for any kind of impact at all and BBs at 300fps fly straight through!
LOL let me tell you a funny wee story!

I got a pair of x800 bolle goggles a few weeks ago for £55 from the safety company and Bolle siad they cant scratch or fog up.. anyway, mine fogged and got scratched in the first scirmish so they sent me a new pair for free! I was pretty delighted tbh.. got them this morning and emailed them with gratitude.. THEN I looked at the lense on them and they looked like they had some c*nt put selotape on them then pull it off! so I phoned the bolle rep and he instantly told me to keep them and they will sned a new pair today! So by monday next week I will have 3 pairs for the price of 1! SHAMOW BABY!

Yea I was sceptical about he visor - its just for show i think. I got it for the head cam attachment.. fits my fat head like a glove as well! lol

videos to come soon

Hey, just seen this now, I'm using the emerson low profile boggie goggles. I actually have decided not to use them as they didn't seal my cheeks and the nose bridge was very uncomfortable. As for the cordura face mask its great but yes it does send the air upwards <_<

I have a toy plastic modern British issue helmet with a cloth covering. It's pretty thick plastic. Would this be ok in a .skirmish or should I stop being tight with my money lol....
