AEG for back garden target shooting - accurate enough at 50ft?

Hello

I've been reading through some very helpful posts here and am looking to get my nephew an AEG from the G&G Combat Machines range, most likely a CM18 Mod 1.

He has a few months until he meets the minimum age for our local airsoft site, so in the meantime I'm thinking I can get him the gun & set him up some paper targets at the end of my 50ft garden for a bit of practice shooting, loading, etc. before his first game.

Am I right in thinking that these cheaper AEG's are capable of hitting targets at a 50ft distance? Thanks.

Perfectly capable.

35-40m head size grouping is what you get from most AEGs (including yours) after cleaning and using good quality 0.25 or 0.28g BBs.
