So, If you have read the title, depending on your intelligence, you may or may not have guessed that this post is about Airsoft laws and why they are so unrealistic.
Before I begin, I want to point out to you sacks of meat and bones that I am writing a discursive essay for my english class.
So sit back, grabs some popcorn, maybe some 3D glasses or those "poked out lenses" Real D 3D glasses and possibly the tricycle that you salvaged from your sad and lonely childhood (remember that?).
Get ready to read some nonsense.
So, first off, we were told to choose a topic, and if your brains were clever enough, you'd probably have guessed by now that I chose airsoft. Now, carrying that on, I had to choose something within "airsoft" which is flawed or is complete nonsense that needs to be changed.
At first I chose two tone guns and why they are really unnecessary, then I decided to do that and why UKARA is annoying. But then I went for the airsoft law altogether and why it is unrealistic which basically covers all above and more.
So then I had to find evidence and points of views from other people which there no other better place than AF-UK!
So, why did you relate to an "800" FPS air rifle in your title?
Well, you'd maybe think that it's the power difference or the fact that they are allowed not to be in horrible two tone JBBG orange eh?
Well, you'd also think that the sentence above would be followed by, "Well YOU'RE FOOKIN' WRONG!"

The airgun laws are slightly somewhat more justified than airsoft gun laws but there is one point of the law that I would like to point out.
This is a the part where it talks about under 14s.
"Persons under the age of 14:
1) No person under the age of 14 may purchase, hire or be given an airgun or ammunition.
2) A person under the age of 14 must at all times when shooting be supervised by a person over the age of 21."
..... what the fudge? ..... It says an under 14 cannot be given an airgun or ammo, but it mentions that an under 14 must be supervised when shooting....
HOW THE HECK ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO "SHOOT" AN AIRGUN IF THEY CANNOT BUY OR BE GIVEN ONE?
RESORT TO STEALING?
Yeh, that just doesn't make sense to me at all, maybe you guys can justify that a little.
So, A flaw in airsoft is the infamous "Two Tone" guns that are required if you want a gun but you are under 18.
I mean, I don't know if anyone knows this yet but another way to bypass this is to go do your three skirmishes at your local site, then get registered into the UKARA data base an gain a defence to buy black airsoft guns.
But the flaw with that is that it costs moneyz and not all people have a site they can go to without suppressing puke for an two hours or three whilst going to a far away site.
Even so, most people still want a black airsoft gun and lots of people have tried to bypass it in many ways.
One is to split the gun up into bits so that it is not recognised as a "gun" anymore but more of "parts" of a gun. But then again, manufacturing an airsoft gun without UKARA is also illegal....
So, it's either:
1. Get your three painful skirmishes, and get a defence. Woohoo! Happy daze!
OR
2. Spend £150 on an over priced gun that has been literally been pooped on by orange cows.

So, yeah, that is pretty bad in lots of ways.
Now, on to comparing to airguns.... this is even more ridiculous.

Now... imagine this, you have a black G&G Combat Machine M4, and a guy is threatening you with an 800 fps air rifle. BUT! You do not have a UKARA defence, so you must have bought it from CRW or something. Then the police come over with pepper sprays and a bazillion tazerz.
You, and the guy who is threatening you are pointing at each other with your guns, you with the toy plastic gun and the guy with a lethal 800 fps rifle.
Who do you think is gonna be tasered and sprayed at and possible whacked in the family jewels but angry cops? Who are they gonna believe is innocent?
Well, by bypassing the laws of the universe and have mind reading powers, they soon find out that you don't have a UKARA defence for your gun and the guy is perfectly within the laws to own an air rifle.
Both of you are breaking the law of revealing a gun in public, and both of you are breaking the law of threatening people with guns but you would get one extra point for breaking the law by not having a UKARA defence.
So, have fun having angry cops charge the sh*t out of you and burn your eyes out with habanero chilli pepper spray and tazering you in the process.
NEVER MIND THIS...
I mean, this is just stupid. You are allowed to buy a full powered air rifle which can be potentially be used for a mass bank robbery and have it in full black but not a fully black, less powerful, harmless M4 without getting a defence.
It's just like having a sh*t tonne of a samurai sword collection, which is illegal to own and is confiscated if found out. But only legal (Ok, this is from my point of view) if you join a ninjutsu club organization and train for at least 10 years, be almost killed, paying lots of money for grading in the process, lose self esteem, then end up paying a sh*t tonne of money for a black belt because you couldn't earn it, and get a license, then you can finally own one...
It's stupid eh?
So, did you guys enjoy your popcorn or cuppa? Or did you play with your sad and lonely tricycle?
Or did you go to sick in a bucket because of the 99.9999% covered two tone gun?
Now, this where I need your help. I need other people's views and what you guys think of these stupid airsoft laws. Then I can get a general idea of what you guys think and I can add it to my essay and get top marks and nothing in return for you guys!
