bit of a puzzler this, i have a kwa (kwc? cant remember, it's one of the anniversary ones) co2 1911

thing is, it seems to be dumping full auto when fired, and keeps going even after you let go of the trigger. it doesn't seem to feed after the first couple of shots either as despite the ludicrous rate of fire there's ammo left in the mag.

i initially suspected the leaf spring in the trigger assembly but manually cycling the action it works fine, pull trigger, hammer drops, rack slide, hammer stays back until trigger is released and re-pressed.

normally it goes with a fresh capsule and a full mag:

1st couple of shots double tap

3rd or 4th shot starts full auto cycle

it'll keep firing (regardless of what you do with the trigger) until it's out of gas or you drop the mag

Paging Doctor @rocketdogbert.

In my very limited experience with GBB pistols I had a similar fault with a WE Glock, it turned out to be the trigger sear.

Your best bet is to type into google the make/model of gun and the problem and look for a YouTube video with the same fault and then look for the fix.

The glock fault was easy to fix, you removed the sear, filed a tiny bit off and put it back together and it worked perfectly.

I’m with @Prisce almost certainly the sear, but I’ve never dismantled a 1911, so don’t know the specifics, sorry

I've checked the gas action and everything seems kosher, no missing spots for o rings that i can find.

I'll strip it further and see what the sear looks like, although the trigger pull feels normal.

good call on the sear.

whilst the main sear was fine, the half-cock sear was worn to the point it wasn't engaging, 10 minutes with a file and it's back on form, and the trigger pull feels better than original to boot.

indeed, now my m4 is my only non functional gun, waiting on a new motor for that.

at least now my winter pistol is back on it's feet.

thanks for the advice guys

Yeah I would have said sear worn sear if the leaf spring is fine, Nice one on sorting it..

If it's a kwc 1911 you have two choices for for parts, either contact kwc directly quoting the part number, they will then quote you a price, but be warned they like over charging.. Or you can buy a elite force hammer rebuild kit from places like evike..
