First of all Welcome, Im sure Airsoft has been a thing since at least the 90's so i'd hardly call 2012 the early stages, but i'd agree the face of the game has changed a lot since then.

Me and the lads I play with run gas pretty much exclusively (We have back up aegs) What is it about gas guns that puts you off?

The only 6 shot shotguns are gas, Marui/Golden eagle m870 series and Marui KSG.

As far as I know, up to a certain limit where the weight is too much a heavier piston will increase the Joules on heavier ammo (Joule creep) so the heavy piston should have more joules than a lighter one running at the same FPS when running heavy ammo.

The smaller ones work fine on larger rifles, got an Xcortech Xt301 that I use on my Hi capa and my m4 also got a friend who has the lighter S which works fine too. Ive previously owned an ASG B&T tracer and the XT301 and Lighter S are much brighter and easier to use.

Hi capa and MK23 both take VSR style buckings so the barrels will be the same cut just a different size.

When wearing trousers (I mostly play in shorts with volleyball knee pads) I have a pair of work trousers from Aldi that have reinforced knee's and can take knee pad inserts. I also wear a DYE i4 paintball mask which might fit the bill for you regarding face protection?

Each time ive been to Camp Sparta, unless playing a game specifically in a building, the vast majority of playing was done around the buildings and not in them.

Pretty much everyone I go with runs Ultrair in various GBBP's AND GBBR's with no obvious issues, Think ill try a different brand next time and compare the two maybe my idea of no issues is everyone elses idea of terrible ?

How did you find it? I enjoy the weekday evening gameplay with less people at Killhouse, I much prefer Foundry on a weekend.

Killhouse is opening an indoor CQB site in Saxilby Lincolnshire that is similar to the existing site in leeds but bigger, think they plan on running it Wed-Sun. Its first night is Friday 2nd november.
