No. It feeds from the box mag only. It won’t take any other magazines.

I've been buying from HK for well over 12 years with very little trouble or dramas. Sometimes it's cheaper by a considerable margin sometimes it works out no cheaper. Overall I'd say I'm in the positive column though.

Well TM don't do a subcompact. Only WE do thus far an as to performance I don't know as I haven't even put more than a handful of rounds through it. Seems okay though. :)

WE and HK are the same from my understanding. Mine may be a HK3 one but I bought it when they first came out and it has similar trades to the marui one so not the correct ones but close. As far as I'm aware there are differences in the slides but not between the HK and WE ones only TM.

I have both the WE PX4 and the new subcompact. Both piss all over the TM version as I owned that one too. They aren't compatible bar mags as the slides are slightly different much like the XDM's. Given the choice I would buy WE over TM. In fact my last ten pistols have all been WE ones.

I use 8 120 EMAG's and that normally lasts me a morning. I'll take out a speedloader too into the game zone but I don't often use it tbh. I always have a pistol with three spare mags too but there have been times I've run totally dry before.

Worst case scenario = shot and some poor copper will have the guilt of killing some numpty who didn't think. Best case scenario = what actually happened. ;) There are varying levels of "oh poo!" In between the above however.
