Collection seized by court order - In the news

https://www.edinburghlive.co.uk/news/edinburgh-news/east-lothian-dad-caught-trying-27148827 Some hapless fellow in Scotland imported an "air rifle" which got nabbed by customs, police then made a couple of visits to the addressee and discovered and seized his toys. He believed he was allowed to...

Are they serious? - Bolster Armouries 'Advanced' M4s and HiCapas

First thought on seeing those prices is 'a fool and his money are soon parted', but there are presumably enough people out there who are money rich and time poor, who don't have the time to research and tinker to achieve similar results on their own, which probably makes this endeavour...

Russian kit yay or nay ?

Wearing full Russian ,or even Ukrainian, clobber at the moment would be in poor taste. But that didn't stop plenty of guys going full LARP during the Global War on Terrorism, when it can't be said that US/UK/Allied nations always acted with the utmost moral rectitude. Nobody's breaking any laws...

    S&T Lee-Enfield has landed !

The going rate on Japanese and Taiwanese sites for these rifles seems to be £260-300. I think it's just the scarcity over here that is driving the high price, the SMLE has been out in Japan for some time, but obviously being closer to the source they've had fewer supply issues.

    Jing Gong Jg080 (Sig550)

I have the metal bodied EBB version, which I am assuming is otherwise internally identical to the JG080. It was fairly decent ootb, nothing to write home about, but certainly good enough for the price, much like most JGs. Go for it if you like the look of it, it doesn't have any fatal flaws as...

    St Lee Enfield

Perhaps the $530 price there is premium as they seem to have the first batch? I've seen a couple of Japanese sites where the pre-order cost is around $390-415. Still a tad pricey, but a bit more reasonable, at least for a product that isn't exactly going to fly off the shelves.

    Marui Man

To be fair, its's an ad for toy guns, and the guy playing Marui Man isn't a professional actor, he's a Japanese gun nut/journalist. Although he somehow managed to get bit parts in Terminator 2 (Mall Employee Shot by T-1000) and True Lies (Japanese Party Goer in the last scene), which is pretty...

    O-rings.

Tokyo Marui give the dimensions for their o-rings in their manuals, which should also fit clones as well. http://www.tokyo-marui.co.jp/support/manuals/

Choosing a [First] AK for future.

I have a Cyma 040 (AK-74) coming to me in the post at the moment, and I need to downgrade it as it is similarly powerful out of the box. Could I ask to what fps you downgraded it to, and what spring you used?

    ACOG saturated with water

The following works for watches and camera lenses (similar to optics I suppose). Once you've got the majority of the water out you could try putting the ACOG inside a zip-lock bag with some silica gel packets (the kind you get in shoe boxes etc.). This will get out moisture from hard to reach...

    Cyber Gun P226 X-5

Sorry, I'd forgot to mention that the pistol pictured isn't mine (although I might have a go at it in the future). The guy which it belongs to recommended the following: >>Link to Stripping the X5<< Although I suspect one could easily get away with simply using a heavy paint...

    NEW airsoft guns

Top of my list would be a decent Browning HP. Beyond that I would like to see some more obscure rifles, just too add a bit of variety for those who aren't mad keen on M4/AK variants. i.e Italian Beretta AR70, Singaporean SAR 21 and the Korean Daewoo K2 (although I think that there might already...

i think youre all gonna need some tissues....

This kind of rifle makes me feel like a old grumpy man. I'm not really a big fan of the whole tacticool thing, in fact every time I look at these kind of guns I can't help but think that they look like the bastard child of a Meccano set and a box of Lego. Still, as someone said above, to each...

    Cyber Gun P226 X-5

Nice review, good to hear that the FPS is of a skirmishable level, as I have one but was unsure as to whether whether it would be too powerful (what with it being Co2 and all). I noticed that the finish of your X5 is flaking slightly, it seems that the paint on these pistols isnt too durable...
