    Silent small CQB rifle

Understood and agreed. Sites have a max ammo weight of .25. Sadly some people are arseholes and remain so. I suppose this is about trying to dissuade people from cheating as best you can.

5.5kg without batteries and BB's. 1kg+ of BB's, 1650mah lipo, 3x AA batteries, 2x CR123 must push it close to 6.8/7kg. I don't feel it in the lower back more shoulders and upper back. Makes carrying a standard AK74 or MP5 feel like nothing. Usually don't play a whole day with it as a LMG...

    Silent small CQB rifle

I know of a couple of CQB sites that chrono on their .20's, you can't chrono on your own ammo, they ask you to bring an empty mag and fill it using their speed loader. The sites are very up close and personal and are trying to keep the power down, presume players were caught trying to cheat...

    Silent small CQB rifle

I have a couple of CQB guns. My Cyma MP5K is the best performer by far, super fast trigger response thanks to the optical trigger and brushless motor it's almost telepathic. I mostly run a WE Apache MP5K as its so much fun, the noise the recoil, trigger response is a bit meh but its long...

New RIF chrono'd hot on her first outing. What can I do (EC MCX)

Depends how technical you are. You are ‘only’ .05/.06J over normal site limits. If the spring is quick change I would be tempted to take the spring out heat it and compress a couple of coils to take a little power out. You need a chrono as above and it’s a bit hit and miss or as Colin Allen said...

Back to Apocalypse in Kent on Sunday after last weeks, slightly disappointing, game I really enjoyed myself. Maybe I rolled out of the right side of bed this week. Took the trusty RPK16, freshly updated with a Prommy purple hop rubber and nub and polished inner barrel. With my trusty Sig 226...

Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread

Bought the Platinum version of this a couple of months ago from PB for £220. A few mags, optic and suppressor make it about £300 or slightly more new (assuming its a Platinum) the wiring under the handgurd looks a bit odd as well, these are usually rewired so the battery goes over the top of...

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Played Apocalypse Kent on Sunday and for the first time I didn't enjoy it. Packed my relatively new LCT AK12 and WE Sig 226 with my trusty Cyma MP5K as a backup, left in the car incase of any mechanical mishaps. Day started well with a friendly player offering me a lift up the hill in his...

Multiple RIF appraisal - Archwick GHK L119A2, WE MP5SD, KWA Vector, TM FN5-7

I payed £275 for well used unboxed MP5 SD with a couple of mags last year to give you a start.

As a new player, since December, how do I deal with cheaters?

It’s a tough one, airsoft is based on honesty, not being a d**k and good eye pro. Every now and again you come across the cheaters. Today had 3 lads who played well but 1 always took his hits, the other 2 always some how didn’t get hit. After the first couple of times I just moved to another...

    Silent small CQB rifle

I stick with the MP5K platform for CQB. Have both the Cyma Platinum and the WE Apache gas versions. As a platform its barely bigger than a pistol and really customisable with a lot of stock / hand guard / fore grip options. The Cyma is quieter, has a faster trigger response / lighter pull /...

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Played the Apocalypse site in Kent on Sunday with a couple of mates. Weather was lovely, sunny but not to warm and the ground has fully dried out now which is a real benefit. Around 120 players joined, a little less than usual. Took my freshly cleaned and modified LCT RPK 16, not an...

Play Apoc in Kent. Morning is usually one longer game 1h30 to 2h then lunch followed by 2 or 3 shorter 45 min to 1h games depending on light, weather and numbers. Find this to be pretty good blend but for me it could do with shorter breaks as I can load mags and be ready to go again in...

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread

Played my first battle sim at Apocalypse airlift in Kent on Saturday. Wasn't sure I would have the legs for a 12 hour game but the slower pace (for the Cartel) ment I am only as broken as a normal skirmish day. The game was DEA vs Cartel, the Cartel had set up in a village and started to...

For the HK nuts out there.

Such an awesome way to carry a MP5K, seen videos where the shooter holds the case against their chest and lets rip!! I might have a crack at Heath Robinson'ing one of these with an Apache in the case for dramatic effect.

    Airsoft in films

Thanks for sharing, Airsoft Mike went through a few films where you could tell they were airlift replicas as they hadn't edited the feed lips on mags out in a few places.

    WE Apache full set

I usually they and find the part I need on the website below. It has good drawings of all the individual components, be aware they are are identified literally to nut and bolt level so you usually need a few parts to get what you need. Then either look on KY airlsoft or I ask my local WE...

    WE Apache full set

Completed my WE Apache set this week, yes they are a little agricultural and not as pretty as the VFC versions but they are so much fun to use. The MP5K is an epic secondary to a DMR or sniper, also have a Cyma AEG version. The MP5K PDW is epic in CQB, flicking the stock round is one of the...

    Essex Airsoft Bootsale

It was the busiest I’ve seen it. I was the first through the door to their first one last summer and it was pretty quiet. Got there at 8:30 today and it was heaving. Picked up a couple of TM MK23 bits, some new camo gear and a tonne of ammo and gas for a great discount.
