    British Airsoft Club?

No matter which way you cut it, UKARA, BAC and Luther are all primarily for the benefit of the retailer/seller. Due to a constantly repeated series of misconceptions, and a misunderstanding of how the English language operates, people who want to buy RIFs have come to believe that they need to...

What do you worry is not 'legit' about any of that?

leaving mags loaded when not playing?

Does anyone here have any evidence that leaving magazine springs compressed damages them? Because I thought it did, then I looked into it, and everything I've read that isn't just an anecdotal observation suggests that leaving a spring compressed does not damage it. In fact, what causes wear to...

leaving mags loaded when not playing?

I don't do it personally because I can't shake the feeling that it will damage the springs, but the fact is it won't. I've read articles and experiments to show this to be the case. Still can't shake the feeling though...

    Economy AEG and Expectations

^ I don't think anyone is saying that we should slate people who use cheap guns (the team I play with pride themselves on getting kills on geardos with the cheap springer pistols they've got and have painted in ridiculously bright tiger stripe patterns) but we're saying that people need to...

    Economy AEG and Expectations

I think it's a case of lazy consumers in all walks of life, not just airsoft. You see it on all kinds of product reviews on places like Amazon, with ridiculous comments like: "I thought it would be bigger;" check the bloody measurements before buying it! If you don't put research into a purchase...

    Selling an RIF on ebay

I think the problem is that it is illegal for you to sell a RIF without a defence. You can't stop people who can't provide you with that defence from bidding on a RIF that you put on ebay. If such a bidder wins you have entered into a legal contract to sell that item to them. At that point you...

    Selling an RIF on ebay

The answer is sell it somewhere designed for that purpose so that you can safely establish a legal defence for yourself. If you sell it on ebay in two parts you're trying to get around their policy and they will remove if someone (like me) reports it. You could sell one half now and then the...

    Selling an RIF on ebay

No you don't, you see idiots splitting their guns in half and trying to sell them as 'parts.' You are not allowed to sell any kind of 'BB gun' on ebay. Here's your source: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/firearms-weapons-knives.html

    Selling an RIF on ebay

Yeah, every now and then I go on there and report people doing it to ebay. Then the auction gets taken down and I feel like a big man.

    Buying Online

Yeah, bad analogy, granted. Perhaps a better one might be someone working in a shop that sell shotguns who sells a shotgun to someone without checking if they have a shotgun certificate. Clearly it's the individual salesperson who is at fault (provided they have received the correct training)...

    Pistols? Help

Pistols are mostly about what 'feels' right to you, so the best advice would be to go to a game and ask a few people if you can feel their pistols. Just be careful who you're saying "excuse me mate, I really want a feel of your big pistol" to. :)

    Buying Online

It is always illegal to sell a RIF. It's not about whether it's legal, it's about whether you can avail yourself of a defence against prosecution after the fact. Moose, it's not "very arguable" at all; if you, as a person, sell a RIF to someone you are guilty of an offence. The 'arguable' part...

Want to buy two tone guns but cant find a decent site ! :(

All three of those guns are awful. In fact, pretty much everything on that website is terrible and I wouldn't take it near any airsoft game. Even if those guns weren't rubbish you'd be wasting your money buying them instead of renting anyway. Rental for three games would end up being £30-£45...

Are there any zombie matches in the West Sussex Worthing area

Are you after a 'zombie experience' or an airsoft game with zombies in it?

    Two Tone Modification

Legally speaking, you can turn an IF into a RIF just because you're going to play airsoft at a site tomorrow or the next day. The idea of 'regular' airsofting is not mentioned in law, so theoretically you could do that before playing your first game.

    Buying a RIF

Firstly UKARA has nothing to do with the law at all. Neither does 'playing three games in over two months,' being a 'regular skirmisher,' or any of the other UKARA jargon. Secondly, as Russe11 has pointed out above, the only thing the law requires for you to avail yourself of a defence against...
