they looked ok on the videos, haven't used them with bb's in yet, there's a high likelihood of bb's leaving my garden if i use them outside. and the Mrs will not have bb's fired in the house....

not according to this, http://www.airsoftsociety.com/Scotland-passes-one-of-the-strictest-air-gun-laws-in-the-world-impacts-airsoft-Airsoft-Society.html you'll just need a license, which might not be a bad thing.

Expected impact joule'age at a distance

Trigger that was not attitude, i was just expressing my annoyance with SD, as he usually posts very helpful stuff in most of the threads i've seen him in. And Destructification is no mate of mine.... he worse than that he's my arsey teenage stepson.... who will no doubt create yet another...

Expected impact joule'age at a distance

I know the type of chrono you mean. Very use full for a lot of "Range" sports, notably archery, but not very cheap. http://www.merlinarchery.co.uk/everything-else/tuning-maintenance/chronographs.html I do have a normal airsoft/airgun chrono, if I was a good shot I could aim for the hole I...

    Importing RIFs from Europe

1j definitely for Ireland. Looks like Scotland is/is about to go 1j. Right lads, those Scottish snipers on Hadrians wall have only 1j to play with, our superior English fire power will soon see em off.... someone go draw a line 1j shot away from the wall, everyone stand behind that...

1 joule??? Thought it was max 1.3j for an AEG and a max of 2.5j for single shot.

Expected impact joule'age at a distance

Hi Samauri, I think I've seen that one. What I'm planning is 2 plate system, inner bull and an outer ring. Mechanical switches are not going to be sensitive enough to register a hit at distance. It's going to be relying on piezo strips to register the hit and microprocessor to tell me which...

Expected impact joule'age at a distance

FFS, flame war engaged. I may be new to this forum, but I'm not new to airsofting, I started in the early 2000s but have had to sit out for approx 9 years whilst raising a family. I am well aware of commercial target systems, but was I asking about those no! As one of my other hobbies is...

Expected impact joule'age at a distance

Sittingduck is it your mission to have a post in every thread?? You've added nothing to this thread. Why would I want to destroy cans, bottles & flowerpots when I can with some electronic parts to make something reusable. Oh and my garden is about 20ft long, I could almost poke the...

Expected impact joule'age at a distance

Hi, anyone good at maths/physics/ballistics around here. I'm trying to build an electronic hit register, a fancy term for a metal target that goes ding and lights a light when it's hit. To aid in calibrating it, what is the likely joule'age going to be say, if we take a nominal gun firing a...

Jing Gong G3 SG1 - downgrade spring specs

well i picked up the SG1 from the couriers drop off today, the test sheet in the box showed that it chrono'd with an average of 390fps. I've not put it on my chrono yet to see if they agree. At 390fps that 30fps below what the advertised out of the box spec states.... Well all advertised...

Jing Gong G3 SG1 - downgrade spring specs

The chrono arrived this morning the G3 SAS has got a muzzle velocity of about 360fps, so it looks like a spring transplant from the SAS into the SG1 might be a viable option. As the SG1 wont have the uprated piston head and barrel that the SAS does, so that should(fingers crossed get it...

Jing Gong G3 SG1 - downgrade spring specs

yup, got a chrono coming early next week. I would have taken the SAS to my local CQB site to get it chrono'd, but i'm on kiddy sitting duty most weekends during the school hols. Most of the other sites have the JG SG1 with an inner barrell of 470mm, which would tally against the TM SG1.
