I'll reword it slightly; I wouldn't be offended if you wore my Corps insignia if you were doing it with the knowledge of what you were representing. But, like I say, I may be in the minority being of that view.

Agree completely. Wouldn't even consider wearing a Plate Carrier for any activity without a Camelbak also, almost regardless of the weather conditions. It's amazing how quickly you can dehrydate on a day like today.

Again, apologies. Put it down to being isolated in the arse end of nowhere and spending to long working with the Arty.  They get all excited about the difference between Guns and Rifles... And it's unfortunately rubbed off on me a little.
