    I have been offered a mint Lumix G5 for £100, so I will more than likely go with this. Thank you both for your help though I appreciate it. 

    This should do me until I find out whether or not I stick the hobby.

    Just to chime in here, if you do progress and want some bigger hardware/lenses - I use MPB.com and go for their used kit. I got a 24-105mm Canon lens, used and it was in mint condition.

    Currently using a Canon 7D, but am looking to grab a used 5D MKIII at some point.

    yeah, I have... the trigger bar moves, and you can see the corresponding part moving within the hammer section, it just doesn’t release the hammer

    Yeah I’ve had a play about, and hammer refuses to release. It’s locked up proper. I suspected the spring not put enough pressure on it. Thanks for the offer, I’ll ask the guy if he wants to get it fixed. Your a top man.

    Ignore @rocketdogbert and his tiny doozer like hands.
    The mk23 is a beautiful weapon.
    But the question is, what do you want it for?
    If it's CQB, then one could argue that as the trigger response on a glock is generally better than the mk23, go for that.
    Or if it's outdoor, range and accuracy are more important, so go for the mk23, 150mm CJ barrel, hadron tdc mod, fang plate and an autobot rubber. Then enjoy shooting people in total silence from a million miles away.
    Tbh, just say fuck it and do both ?

    It’s to run as a secondary alongside when I am using the sniper, my glock hits the distances (built from the guidance of @rocketdogbert) but it is a bit on the loud side, I do love it as a side arm thou! ???
