the maple leaf feed lip strikes again.....

Sort of a hate-struggle-cuddle relationship with it, I see.  But bloody hell, that thing is quiet now, that's really impressive.

Interesting solution to the feed lips. I'd probably have filed half a mm off of the nozzle, which goes to show why Luke's the professional and I'm not.

I'd have used a different hop rubber lol.

That is quiet though, starting to get to the stage where i'm tempted to send him the f2000 see if he can get it to work.

He has my brand new Dytac AK and going by the videos he is sending me, my god what a POS the gearbox is. Air seal wont ever be perfect without a new gearbox shell.

Sad to hear that, but at least he's honest about it.  I'd rather know than be strung along with a fairy tale.

@Rogerborg The internal casting is pretty bad. Gearbox wont close at the front because the stock cylinder head and supplied upgrade cylinder head is too wide of a diameter for the badly casted shell. Swapped in a G&G Cylinder head with a smaller diameter. There is an air seal, but the piston can be forced down into the cylinder by hand.

Oh and despite it being a VFC take down AK, it had a short type AK nozzle, so my upgraded nozzle is too long!

@Asomodai who on earth are Dytac using for their OEM AK now then?

@ak2m4 Luke has confirmed it is definitely a CYMA inside. They tart up the finish of the external of the gearbox to make it look nicer with a DYTAC stamp, but the inside of the shell is still all Cyma.

@Asomodai I know what you mean, paint it.  E&C have been doing that, have asked them to stop, no need for paint on the outside of the gearbox.  Tring to get them to put a chromium finish instead
