    Day 8 of lock down and i have to say I am (sort of) getting things done. 

    I have finally got my striker working to full capacity again and I am starting to consider sanding/sand blowing the outer barrel to create a "Silver Sable" kind of gun. Although I haven't been able to use it yet I am liking the British Army belt rig and it is a lot more comfortable than jerry rigged pile of trash that I was using before. Also who ever designed the detachable out barrel on the Ares M-45 is quite possibly insane, I needed another 3 pairs of hands just to put it all back together again!

    Sorry for all the ramblings but I have done all my jobs and now I am board?

    Actually I just got the extra feed lips and base plates for the mags and they work like a charm, I am thinking of getting a red dot sight somewhere down the line but for now, I really like the iron sights

    After a day of tinkering I have finally managed to get the striker back up and running. Also where the hell has the Decepticon  bucking been whole life. It coupled with a concave nub is just stupid good ?

    I have the same rubber (50°), chose it over the Autobot because the contact patch shape seemed less prone to manufacturing defects :)

    DPD can go suck a long one. 
    I ordered a set of buckings and nubs back before Christmas. My dumb ass did not realize that Skirmshop was closed over Christmas until the new year which is fine. The parts were dispatched on the 2nd. DPD then failed to deliver no less than 7 times because the driver would get into our vague area (DPD have a handy app that allows you to track the driver) before taking a picture of a hedge and going home. The parcel is now on the way back to Skirmshop. So fuck DPD

    So I ordered some small parts from zero one and today I got a rather large box from them. Taking it out of the cardboard reveled this...

    Well I have had a roller coaster of a day. 

    First the Bad: I was doing a regular cleaning of the Striker and suddenly PING off goes one of the screws into the depths to my pit room. I took 2 hours, lots of swearing, a dill and pulling up floorboards before I found the f’ing thing. I really need to get a magnetic mat.

    Now the Good: After a little light perusing of the internet I found a series of triggers again for the Striker (no your obsessed) and after invoking many deities over a bloody screw I managed to get this fitted and I quiet like it. So, positives I guess.View attachment 51341

    Fixed the striker. 

    Had a heart attack on Sunday after the striker started slam firing, quickly bought an upgraded locking pin as I had read that slam firing can be caused by the combo of the old locking pin and new C.P.B.S. Got the pin fitted, it managed to get a shot off and all that came out the end was fragments of bb from my last shot, turns out the bb fragmenting had prevented the sears from engaging so the parts where useless (but shiny ?) and would have needed to be replaced eventually. Still happy my baby is working again?

    Moses wept. I just fitted the C.P.S.B bolt in the striker along with the spring that gave me 500fps in the old bolt but now the air seal is so good it is giving me 600fps. Oops. time to get a weaker spring?

    Chronoed mine today, with a SP100 it gave me 99.5 m/s (measured with .20s) with a .06 m/s deviation in 20 shots.

    I call it a pretty good airseal for stock stuff bar the steel cylinder  :P

    good god I love Absolute Airsoft, the people and marshals are funny and the games are good. And even better the site changes almost every time i go there, this time the extended their trench and added in a massive bridge and a tank back at one of the spawns
