Hey man! I said you'd get the photos of my wife, you just got to be patient with me! Jesus Chr.....

Wait... Wrong forum!

In all seriousness perhaps I am being impatient. But 11 days and not even posted?

I don't consider a dispute anything more than a "hey, what's happening here?" to nudge a seller to get in touch.

If you're lucky enough to have the time to get to the post office next day that's good, I know in myself I try to get things posted as quick as possible but unfortunately work limits my time in getting places and I wont use couriers like MyHermes etc that collect from you as they are generally shit. My rule of thumb is to let the person know before any payment is made that I wont be able to post till I can get to the post office (time frame is given say one or two days), If I cant get there when planned I offer a slight discount,  include some bits and pieces from my patch/sticker drawer as a good will guesture or ask someone else to get it there for me. Generally anything over 5 days and I'd say someone is taking the piss.

I walk past the post office on my way to work so fortunately it's not an issue for me.

I don't mind delays at all, just so long as I'm not chasing up a week later to find out what's going on.

Onus definitely shouldn't be on you to chase, they should be giving updates. Was it a sale on here?

11 days IS taking the piss but in general terms not everyone can get to a post office quickly or even get their airsoft stuff in a hurry (people that work away, students that don't live at home etc).

Better comms is a must though.

I assume that you tried contacting them first before you went straight to Paypal dispute?

Was it something bought on here Gep?

I sometimes miss the post office (can't often take a lunch break etc) but if after a day or so I'll get in touch and I'll ask if they're still happy to wait another day or two, and I'll knock them a fiver off or something, or offer a freebie.. but always happy to refund in full if they want to.

I find being honest is helpful though, some folks don't mind bad news if you're honest.

11 days without news though is taking the piss a bit.

I didn't notice you'd said its been 11 days. Has the seller even apologized for the delay or given reason? like I said above anything over 5 days is taking the piss unless specifically agreed.

I don't think you're being 'impatient' at all bud. 11 days is a joke really... Fair enough if something has stopped the seller from posting the item out in a timely fashion, but they at least owe it to you to explain the situation?

If i'm selling an item, and I was unable to post in my normal time frame. I would be contacting the buyer ASAP to explain! End of the day I have their money, but they haven't got what they bought.

Doesn't sit right with me.

That's just taking the piss.

F* em!

Hope you left appropriate feedback...

NO you are not acting in any way shape or form ’impatient/rude/etc’ the onus is all on the seller . If you know your not home for a period of time you put it in the advert , you can’t get to the PO until the first full moon of the 2nd mth of the pagan new yr ? It goes in the advert , if your being delayed sending for what ever reason you contact the buyer immediately , only time this can be excused is if you physically can’t get online (takes less than a minute to send a txt/email/pm) . There being a dick your not end off .

Whenever I sell anything whether it's eBay or any of the forums I frequent it always gets posted within 1 business day, more often than not same day. I also don't bother using Royal Snail as it's only marginally more for me to use a courier to do the job properly.

You aren't impatient at all, people shouldn't list and sell things if they aren't prepared to see the deal through. They'd have been miffed if they'd sent the item and you'd taken over 11 days to pay for it.

I say take it to the feedback section as soon as you receive/get a refund

No it wasn't anyone on here and I did attempt contacting them a few days before the dispute to no avail.

That is unacceptable, but I do disagree about posting it Same/next day.

I always keep people updated on their parcel, and always take a photo and send it to the buyer before it leaves my hands so they know what to expect.

But it has taken me over a week to post items before, and it will do again no doubt, some of us really can be that busy, or indisposed.

For instance, I sold a RIF on here in January, from payment to me sending it, it took over 2 weeks. I did keep the buyer posted, but I had pneumonia and I literally couldn’t get out to post it, and family members were busy with their lives.

Yeah again I wouldn't expect same or next day dispatch, I'm just lucky enough to have a drop off location close by that it's become the norm for me to send it off fairly quickly.

They gave me no indication as to why the delay and only got in touch after the dispute was started.
