    my PTS KWA ERG lives once more. Talk about a pain to sort in the end. Intermittent fault making it worse.  

    All new connectors. Still not properly fixed. 

    Completely rewired. Still not fixed. 

    New motor. Eureka finally rocking like it should. £110 on repairs ouch.

    It was second hand. Just a few years old and had trouble figuring out what was causing the fault. But it ran flawlessly today

    In fairness @Druid799 it was working fine for about 6 months. Then just after Xmas it developed an intermittent fault that was really awkward to diagnose. Think the motor was just knackered, it just seemed more like to be a connector/contact wiring issue as it was so random.

    Ics cxp ape and kwa erg both back up and running thanks to Sean at Combat Action Games. Ape needed a new piston and the erg wasn’t the trigger mech after all. Just a faulty connector. 

    Happy days and only £25 out of pocket. 

    Ics mars needs proper surgery though as main board is fried.

    Cant believe my run of bad luck. 

    Ics cxp ape - piston stripped a few months ago. 

    2 weeks ago trigger mech fried on my kwa erg. 

    Today everything fine. Get home ics mars starts running away on full auto and won’t stop unless the battery is disconnected. 

    All 3 primaries knackered

    The ape is an easy fix considering its a split gearbox. Get a new piston and install it, wont take more then 20 minutes first time.

    They ain’t ever taking mine. That’s what super glue was invented for. Though they can take the cxp ape seeing as it stripped its piston just before the final big fight for Main Street at pleasurewood hills.

    Best suggestions for a sub £100 pistol. Preferably suitable for winter too and maybe an extra mag. Thinking the asg mk23. Any other good suggestions ?

    @PT247 do you reckon it’s ok out of the box for use in cqb. Plan to upgrade it eventually for full on woodland. But usually only use a side arm for close up stuff.

    Go with a CYMA AEP with a Lipo mod. Works all year around with no faffing around with C02 unreliability. MK23 is a good choice for woodland but you wont be able to fire it particularly fast in close combat due to the long trigger pull. At least with the AEP you'll have full auto if you need it.

    I have picked up the asg mk23 with an extra mag to use for woodland. Also replaced the nozzle on my ics ble xae as I think it’s what was causing issues and plan to use that for cqb. 

    Roll on Sunday. Airsoft in a theme park with 200+ players and a death train armed with a mini gun

    Nice and compact, fits on a pistol or a rifle.  On/off switch (no strobe mode or multiple brightness nonsense to get in the way), or an optional momentary pressure switch.  Has a fairly bright torch, or a laser, or even both together if you're feeling kinky.

    Comes with 2 small li-ion batteries (16340's, I think).  You'll need to buy a generic charger for 3.7V lithiums, one with a sliding contact that can charge various lengths of batteries.  Typically sold as 18650 / 18450 chargers.

    But £10 for the basic unit is a decent deal.

    I've been using an ultrafire wf-502b for a couple years now. 3 brightness settings plus a strobe. Gets me through the rare night game anyway. Fits in all of my mounts.

    Does anyone know of a blue hop rubber that instead of a normal ‘mound’, has 2 little ‘teeth’. Like a normal mound with a v shape cut out?

    If its the same one thats already in my erg . Then it is awesome. Barely any hop actually applied and its sending .28's straight and flat for what seems like forever and thats on a fairly worn and battered rubber.

    Kwa pts erg scout. Whats peoples recommendations for replacement hop rubbers in these? Had heard they could be very picky about them.

    Well the KWA erg is fricking amazing. Just not so much with the Tears of the sun' loadout. Need more room for mags. New loadout maybe.....

    I'm lucky, dive shop is 10 mins walk, I just get them to fill the HPA cylinders, I can carry two in a backback.  Might work out more expensive in the long run, but I don't fancy going down the scuba/refill route.

    Would have said the same 6 weeks ago. But 6 weeks on gone from 2.5 -5 .1 miles and 15st 9lbs down to 14st 3lbs. Much needed change.

    Can’t really test it until next week. Sounded a bit better shooting through the house into the garden. But that was down a hallway.

    You'll need to get someone to fire it at you to notice the difference though.

    Being behind the trigger you won't notice the sound as much :)

    Lovely tight corridors are good for sound hogs.

    Personally i find them underwhelming unless its going on an over-gassed gun like an arp or firehawk that has a short barrel.

    If you just drop it on a longer barreled aeg its not gonna be that nice imo.
