what happen ?

I built Frankensteins monster and made it schizophrenic thats what happened. Trying to get a gearbox to run with a 7.4 lipo and it won't have none of it. Over cycles badly. Got to get a 15c and try that but doubt it will make much difference.

Oh... Not a pistol... Lost interest ;)

A "sticky switch" can disengage late and cause a gun to run on. Higher speed gears can slow the piston quicker than norm 18:1 gears

Short stroke is an option but do not remove from release side of sector gear. Check switch or cut off lever as well. If cut off wears or the sear needs a big jolt to pop switch it will release later = run on. If trigger switch is a bitch to pop you will get over spin no matter what

The way the cut off lever & fulcrum crap works, a little bit of wear near sector loses a lot off the switch trolley lifting off trigger - check and maybe replace cut off lever. It wears out on semi - but spray & pray players don't suffer worn COL's

None of the above. Works fine with a nimh but the discharge rate on the lipos tips it over the edge. 30k high torque but m85ish spring and everything else slightly different to off the shelf. Project gearbox I am playing with, I know the answer but I am loathe to do it.

what's the rps & fps. I have been shocked recently just how much a switch can disengage late and over run. a 15c lipo is quite lame compared to say 25c but that is still mild compared to yanky nutters with 40c+.Got a 18:1 similar issue but hoping I've sussed it a bit when it goes back together

24rps and mid 320's on the fps. I am messing with cylinder and piston head size and running the first part of the spring tighter. I am trying to reinvent the wheel basically. Aeg gearboxes are an inefficient design and I want a better one. No biggie I still have 3 more normalish boxes for using in game and if I run this I stick to nimhs for now. Or a slower motor but thats giving up.

Think you barrel might be a bit longer than my usual 300ish so Short Stroking may be limited but might need a stronger spring and lose a tooth or two to keep fps down. what is barrel length coz the longer barrels can't run too quick imho

But then the fps jump is too high its a cqb gun. Want to keep it below 328fps. Trust me nothing is ever that simple once I start messing around.
