3x is plenty

So wait for the x3 scope? I've used x5 on real rifles, but not Airsoft. In reality, I shoot up to 200m without optics on RS .556s, so I don't actually need a scope, but I hate waiting...

Plus the x5 is actually a much nicer scope; and money isn't an issue on this front

Get a Visionking variable zoom. Really clear at 3x and really clear at 9x. Holds zero properly and is only £40 for their cheap one or £80 for their expensive-ish one.

Weeeeeell, this thing is prof, I am actually getting a RS sight that I will also use on my VSR. So it's really about if yall think a x5 scope is fine, or if I won't ever go beyond x3-4

Sounds like a waste of money for something that could get shot out. If you put acrylic infront of it you've just compromised the extra clarity you're paying for anyway so I 'unno.

Basically I want to get the x5 unless yall think it would be a problem.

Yes, I know that. I also have a 3-12x scope for Airsoft already. I guess I'll get the x5 for higher games and use my current x3 the rest of the time.

x3 and x5 are more than enough for shooting, that's for sure. I only ever used the x9 on my DMR for spotting if I couldn't see anyone.
